Dr. Alex Leong

Biography

I was born in Macau in 1980. I received the B.S. degree in mathematics and B.E. degree in electrical engineering in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 2008, all from the University of Melbourne, Parkville, Australia. I received the L. R. East Medal from Engineers Australia in 2003, an Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Australian Research Council in 2009, and a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award from the Australian Research Council in 2012.

I was with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne from 2008 to 2015. I have been with Paderborn University since Feb. 2016. 

Research

My research interests include networked control systems and signal processing for sensor networks. I am interested in the interaction between communications, control and signal processing that occurs in the design of networked systems.
